PTFE sheet has many applications as a sealing material. Due to its high corrosion resistance, stable physical properties and high and low temperature resistance, it has achieved good sealing performance and is widely used in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, juvenile and steel industries. Suitable media include water, oil, acid solution, alkali solution and almost all chemical compositions. The sealing performance is durable and reliable; PTFE plate itself is corrosion resistant and non-aging, and has good creep resistance and cold flow resistance after special treatment. It can be used safely for a long time in a wide temperature range; easy to cut, can be mechanically cut or red cut for easy installation.
PTFE sheet is a semi-metallic flat gasket made of V-shaped or W-shaped thin steel strip and filler PTFE spiral composite winding. By changing the material combination of the gasket, the problem of chemical corrosion of the gasket by various media can be solved. The gasket has good compression resilience, multi-channel sealing and certain self-reinforcing function, which can partially eliminate the effects of pressure, temperature change and mechanical vibration. There is no bonding on the flange face, which is easy for maintenance and replacement. It can maintain its excellent sealing performance under cyclic and harsh conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, high vacuum, shock and vibration.
PTFE sheet is suitable for sealing parts with drastic changes in temperature and pressure, and is a static sealing element at flange joints of pipelines, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, towers, manholes, handholes and so on. The density (hardness) of the wound gasket can be changed by varying the tension of the wound steel tape to meet the needs of various application components.
